Open a 2020 Design file
Drop a .kit file, or a plan exported from 2020 as a PDF, and it lists everything in the design: every cabinet, every panel, every appliance, with what 2020 calls it and how big it is. Then it matches what it can to cabinets sold here and prices them.
What this can and can't do
- The file is read in your browser. It is never uploaded. Only the list of what the design contains is sent, so it can be priced.
- Most codes are looked up exactly. Across the owner's own 2020 plans, nearly nine cabinets in ten are identified as the very Forevermark product drawn, 2020's spellings included. The rest are matched to the nearest cabinet sold here, with the gap stated. Check those before ordering.
- Sizes come from the codes. Two digits is a width, four is width then height. Appliances are better than that: 2020 writes their real dimensions out in words, and those are used. Anything less than certain says so.
- Positions are not placed for you yet. This brings across the list, not a drawn room. A
.kitholds no coordinates at all; a plan PDF does, and the reader already works out which wall each cabinet is on and the order along it, ready to draw. - A plan PDF has to be the export, not a scan. A plan printed from 2020 is a vector drawing whose codes are real text, so it reads. A photograph or a scan of a drawing has no text in it, and the reader says so rather than pretending it found nothing.
